  1.                 LOCATE OPERATIONS

  4.      Log in to the directory in which the 
  5. desired index is located.
  6.  
  7.      Type the command :
  8.           locate <keyword> [<keyword> ..]
  9. where each <keyword> is a sequence of letters.  
  10. Everything typed after a command is called a 
  11. command tail.  Note that keywords less than 
  12. three characters long were not indexed and hence 
  13. cannot be "found".  Entering more than seven 
  14. characters of a keyword does not hurt but is not 
  15. significant.

  17.      The screen displays a list of file names 
  18. containing the same keyword codes as listed in 
  19. the command tail.
  20.  
  21.      If an error occurs, it is probably because 
  22. one or more of the required files is missing.  
  23. They are LOCATE.COM, MAP.INX, ENTRY.INX, and 
  24. KEY.INX.
